Swapping our conference gear for sneakers this year

Last week, Amotai hosted our flagship events for the year, but this year was a little different. We swapped our conference agenda for a hīkoi, a bus trip and a business matching session focused only on whakawhanaungatanga.

We welcomed international delegates from Australia and Canada and connected buyers, Māori and Pasifika suppliers, iwi, community partners and local government leaders into these different spaces for more grounded connections.

From the powerful kōrero and hīkoi at Ihumaatao, to drinks in Beca's beautiful HQ, we truly felt how supplier diversity and social procurement can create real outcomes for businesses and communities.

The week reinforced an important truth: procurement has the power to do more than purchase goods and services. It can strengthen supply chains, create opportunities and help wealth reverberate into the communities where it can make the greatest difference.

Check out the event wrap up and photos below.
