Building capability through collaboration: EY New Zealand and Amotai workshop series

This year EY New Zealand and Amotai collaborated to deliver a series of capability-building workshops designed to support Māori and Pasifika businesses across Aotearoa. Hosted virtually by EY New Zealand and promoted through the Amotai network, the three-part series provided practical, accessible insights to help businesses strengthen their foundations, understand their obligations and identify opportunities for growth. 

Over the course of 2026, the series included three workshops covering key areas of business growth and capability: business fundamentals, tax obligations and compliance, and government grants, incentives and funding opportunities. Together, the sessions provided practical insights to help suppliers build confidence, strengthen their operations and identify opportunities for growth.

The workshop series reflects a shared commitment between EY New Zealand and Amotai to support supplier capability and create opportunities for businesses to access knowledge that can help them thrive. By bringing together EY professionals and Amotai's extensive supplier network, the sessions provided a platform for learning, discussion and connection.

The strong turnout and engagement across the series demonstrated the value of creating spaces where businesses can access practical experience and ask questions in a supportive environment. We look forward to building on this momentum in 2027 and welcoming even more suppliers and buyer members to future sessions.
