Meet the Buyer wrap up

On behalf of our Amotai team, we want to give a huge mihi to you all for participating in our Meet the Buyer program for FY 2023 - FY 2024. As Amotai Buyer members, this program would not be the success it is without your support and sponsorship. We again want to thank our National Partners; Downer, Ministry of Education, GHD, Poutama Trust and WSP for their tautoko.
It was a successful campaign that brought together more than 750 Amotai suppliers to connect with just over 70 buyer organisations across Aotearoa. The programme delivered 12 amazing events from Whangārei in the North to Ōtautahi Christchurch in Te Waipounamu. Meet the Buyer events had a 75% average turnout rate, averaging over 90 suppliers in our cities and 40 suppliers in our regions.
We are thrilled to bring back our National Meet the Buyer Program for FY 2024 - FY 2025. We are excited to provide networking opportunities that support Buyer members to intentionally engage Māori / Pasifika businesses to increase contract opportunities for Amotai suppliers. As valued Buyer members of Amotai, we will be releasing our Events Prospectus post Summit with all details to participating in Meet the Buyer and other Amotai event opportunities.
This prospectus provides our Amotai Buyers the unique opportunity to position your organisation as being at the forefront of supplier diversity in Aotearoa New Zealand. By demonstrating your commitment to supporting engagement with and empowering Māori and Pasifika, you will not only enhance your brand’s reputation but also make a tangible impact on the communities you serve.
Kristal Kinsela, Australia’s leading Supplier Diversity expert said “This cannot be left to chance, proactively reaching out to diverse suppliers helps them understand what opportunities are available and helps Buyer organisations understand the capability of diverse suppliers (Kinslea, 2021).” We are excited to work with you all in this networking space, keep you eyes peeled for prospectus coming out post Summit.
